International CU Undergraduate Scholarships

We want to encourage ambitious international students to study for a degree at CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) and CU Scarborough. We know how much the cost of tuition fees, living expenses and accommodation are in real terms, so we’ve secured extra financial support to help students to afford an undergraduate degree course at our CU campuses.

2024/25 academic year

This award is worth £12,000 for each successful applicant who enrols for our remaining intakes for the 2024/25 academic year at CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) and CU Scarborough campuses. This award is only available once you have successfully completed the enrolment process.

This scholarship is allocated as follows for a three-year undergraduate degree course:

  • Year 1 - £5,000
  • Year 2 - £4,000
  • Year 3 - £3,000

One-year top-ups will be eligible for a £5,000 reduction. Two-year top-ups will be eligible for a £5,000 reduction in their first year and a £4,000 reduction in the second year.

2025/26 academic year

This award is worth £6,000 for each successful applicant who enrols in any of our intakes during academic year 2025/26 at CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) and CU Scarborough campuses. This award is only available once you have successfully completed the enrolment process.

This scholarship is allocated as follows for a three-year undergraduate degree course:

  • Year 1 - £2,000
  • Year 2 - £2,000
  • Year 3 - £2,000

Top-up degree courses will be eligible for a £2,000 reduction for each year of the programme i.e. two-year top-ups will be eligible for a £4,000 reduction in total: £2000 for the first year and a £2,000 reduction in the second year.

Eligibility

We will automatically consider international applicants for this award if they hold a conditional offer for a CU undergraduate course. No additional scholarship application form is required.

To receive the award, applicants must have paid the required deposit by the date outlined in their offer letter and must have successfully enrolled on the intake applied for.

The scholarship deduction for Year 1 will be applied to your first year’s tuition fee final payment (or from your first payment where you are asked for your first year’s full tuition fee upfront). Subsequent scholarship deductions will be applied to your tuition fee final payment for each academic year of enrolment. Details of your tuition fee payments due, will be outlined in your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

In addition, applicants must:

  • Be self-funded and paying international/overseas tuition fees.
  • Hold a conditional offer for a CU campus undergraduate course at CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) or CU Scarborough.

Enrolled students should be prepared to represent CU as a student advocate alongside their studies. They may be asked to help us by providing promotional information, which may include contributing to a blog, videos and interviews.

Terms and conditions

  • All scholarships and discounts will be applied after enrolment.
  • The scholarship deduction for Year 1 will be applied to your first year’s tuition fee final payment (or from your first payment where you are asked for your first year’s full tuition fee upfront). Subsequent scholarship deductions will be applied to your tuition fee final payment for each academic year of enrolment. Details of your tuition fee payments due, will be outlined in your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
  • The scholarship/discount is only applicable for the intakes specified.
  • The scholarship/discount is only available to CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) and CU Scarborough international applicants (excluding EU).
  • The scholarship/discount is only available for full-time undergraduate degrees.
  • The University reserves the right to amend or withdraw the scholarship/discount should a student refer/defer for a year.
  • Students will not receive the scholarship/discount during any placement year.
  • The scholarship/discount will be awarded at the entire discretion of Coventry University.
  • The scholarship/discount is only available to self-funded students paying international/overseas tuition fees; sponsored students are not eligible.
  • This scholarship/discount is not combinable with any other scholarships/bursaries/discounts at the University.
  • The scholarship/discount outlined is not open to applicants to Coventry University, Coventry University London, Coventry University Wroclaw, for any of our 100% online courses (Coventry University Online) or to our International Pathways Programme.
  • The University's decision on the interpretation of eligibility criteria is final and there is no right of appeal. You must comply with all requests for additional information to establish your eligibility in the timeframes specified and you must provide any proofs requested by the stated deadlines in your offer letter.
  • The University reserves the right to withdraw the discount from anyone who is found to have misled the University about any aspect of their eligibility and to seek repayment of any monies already paid by appropriate means.
  • There is no right of appeal against the University's decision in relation to your eligibility for the discount. You may make a complaint if you believe that you have not been considered for the discount because of a procedural error.
  • The University reserves the right to amend or withdraw the scholarship/discount at any time.

EU Support Bursary

We are offering financial support to all eligible EU students who wish to study an on-campus undergraduate or postgraduate degree with us full-time for all years up to and including the 2026/27 academic year.
