Want to be a teacher?
We can help you realise your ambition to train as a primary or secondary teacher, wherever you are in the world.
Our aim is that you don't just qualify as a teacher, but that you become a first-rate teacher. Our curriculum materials, tutoring and mentoring are all geared to achieve this.
We believe teacher training is best done in schools. This is why you will be based in a school for the entirety of your course, fully embedded in the life of the school.
Our flexible training model caters to individual needs, allowing you to learn at your own pace and convenience.
We are committed to keeping our tuition fees as low as possible to encourage more people to train to teach. We also offer bursary and scholarship routes as well as employed, apprenticeship and fully funded pathways.
All our teacher training courses offer:
I wanted to be a teacher because I want to be a part of a community where I share my knowledge with my students, what I've learned and what I've achieved. I teach English, that's my subject and I absolutely love what I'm doing. I love to stand in front of a classroom and be a part of the students’ lives as well.
The thing I'm most proud of is the fact that I was quite resilient through the first year. It's not an easy thing to do, you're teaching and also doing your PGCE. But my mentor and tutors at NITE were so helpful and very supportive. They were there throughout my entire PGCE studies, and they were very supportive of my wellbeing as well. They're wonderful and I would encourage anyone who would want to take part in this PGCE with NITE. It's one of the best out there.
Angela Fernando, PGCE with QTS (Employed) Secondary English, England, 2024-25
The most valuable part of the course for me was the insight I gained into effective teaching, the online learning and the Intensive Training and Practice (ITAP) days. I initially thought I understood teaching well, drawing mostly from my experience tutoring one-to-one. However, teaching a full class is very different, with unique dynamics and challenges. The course equipped me with practical skills and confidence, shaping how I now approach teaching and enabling me to deliver effective learning experiences in the classroom.
Chidindu Ojimadu PGCE with QTS (Tuition fee) Secondary Physics, England, 2024-25
I have loved doing this training course. I would highly recommend it to anybody. I think the way that it's designed so that it's online, so we get the maximum amount of time within the classroom, is really, really, important in teaching. You get the guidance and the pedagogy on one side and the time to put that into practice there and then, rather than having periods of time where you're not in the classroom. I would highly recommend this route to anybody who is looking to train to teach.
