The course aims to provide you with a solid grounding for building a career in the health and bioscience sectors.
The Applied Biosciences BSc (Hons) course focuses on the application of the knowledge gained during the course to facilitate real-life problem-solving. You will explore the biosciences thoroughly on the chemical and molecular level through to the human body as a whole.
Practical elements are another key focus of the course and you will be expected to perform advanced hands-on experiments including computer-based activities. Combining both helps to solidify knowledge of the subject and prepares you for your future career.
We regularly review our course content, to make it relevant and current for the benefit of our students. For these reasons, course modules may be updated.

Throughout your studies, you will be expected to spend time in guided and independent study to make up the required study hours per module. You’ll be digging deeper into topics, reviewing what you’ve learned and completing assignments. This can be completed around your personal commitments. As you progress through your studies, you’ll spend more time in independent study.
As an innovative university, we use different teaching methods including online tools and emerging technologies. So, some of your teaching hours and assessments may be delivered online.
