Which room type is best for you?

Finding the right type of accommodation to live in can make all the difference. With so many choices available, here’s a quick breakdown of some of the common types of rooms: -

• Studio: Open plan bedroom with kitchen space and ensuite.
• Twudio: Open plan twin bedroom with kitchen space and ensuite.
• Ensuite: Bedroom with a private bathroom and access to shared kitchen/living spaces.

Do you like to have time to yourself at the end of the day, to unwind and recharge your social battery? If so, a studio or twudio might be the right choice for you. If you prefer a shared living space where you can spend time outside your room and socialise with your flatmates, an ensuite room might be a better fit.

How much does student accommodation cost?

Accommodation costs vary depending on your room type, size, and other factors such as contract lengths. We offer rooms on 39, 43 or 50-week (postgraduate students only) contract lengths aligned to course start and end dates so as a student you only pay for the length you need.

It’s also important to check what is included in your contract. At Coventry University, your rent is all-inclusive and it covers your electricity and water bills as well as contents insurance and Wi-Fi.
