About agents

As an institution, we are committed to the UK Agent Quality Framework (AQF) and pledge to create and maintain the highest standards of agent management.

The AQF promotes four key principles:

  • Empowering student choice and enabling informed decision making
  • Ensuring good agent governance and professionalism
  • Promoting ethical agent practices, professional knowledge and competency
  • Increasing transparency and accountability

Using an agent

Coventry University has a global network of education agents. Coventry University has entered into a commercial arrangement with these agents, who understand our offering. They are contracted to support qualified prospective students to choose a course and submit an application to the University.

They may also help with finding accommodation, and support with applying for a visa, as appropriate to the prospective student’s circumstances. Agents may charge students fees for these additional services.

If you enrol with us, we pay the education agent a commission/fee. If you don’t want to use one of our preferred agents listed via the region links below, you can choose to use other education agents if you wish, but they will lack the training and insight we provide.

Further guidance on how to choose an education agent that is right for you can be found on the British Councils' Student Guide to Choosing an Education Agent.

Raising a concern or complaint

We are committed to ensuring that the relationships between us, our education agents, and you remain fair and transparent in the spirit of the British Council’s Agent Quality Framework (AQF) .

We understand that on occasion, you may need to raise concerns, questions or a complaint about the Coventry University Group education agent who assisted with your application.

To raise any concerns about the agents we contract to work with, please complete the following form: Raise an agent concern or complaint

On receipt of your form, the matter will be investigated and responded to by the CURA Regional Area Manager at the initial stage.

Please note that this process is only for concerns or complaints relating to agents contracted by Coventry University Group to support our admissions. Please check that your agent is shown on our official list of agents before submitting your form.

If you remain dissatisfied or if you have another complaint not related to our agents, you will have the opportunity to make a formal complaint. Further information can be found at:
