Academic Year Dates

The academic year has numerous start dates, throughout the year as well as different calendars depending on if you are a new student or a returning student and which College or School your course is administered by. Please see below:

NEW STUDENTS - this refers to anyone commencing a course from September 2025 onwards:
The dates below refer to new and returning undergraduate students based in CAS/CEES/CBL and London campus.

These dates also apply to students within SHC who are returners only. SHC new students both UG and PG are on a separate calendar, shown below:

University closure dates:
Christmas: Close on Thursday 25th December 2025 to 1st January 2026, re-opening on 2nd January 2026
Easter: closed Friday 3rd to Monday 6th April 2026, re-opening on Tuesday 7th April 2026.
