Abstract

The Fraud Advisory Panel is an independent charity that works to prevent, detect and deter financial crime. During this session, Rebecca and Matthew will discuss the ever-evolving fraud threat and how education and collaboration are two of the most effective tools against the criminals.

The speakers will also delve into the diverse career pathways open to counter fraud professionals, the opportunities within the sector and lessons that can be learnt from current industry practices to enhance future professional resilience to economic crime.

Biographies

Rebecca Craig, Fraud and Litigation Solicitor
With a decade of expertise in high-stakes disputes, Rebecca is an experienced litigation lawyer specialising in Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud and financial crime cases, including disputes involving fraudulent misrepresentation and breaches of directors and fiduciary duties. Dedicated to supporting her clients, she works closely with the banking industry to strengthen compliance and achieve effective resolutions in complex financial disputes

Matthew Field, Head of Fraud Advisory Panel
As Head of the Fraud Advisory Panel, Matthew is passionate about fraud prevention and believes collaboration and education are two of the most important tools at our disposal to drive change in the fight against economic crime.
