Protective Security Lab

The Protective Security Lab (PSL) is an applied research centre at Coventry University's central London campus, focused on tackling real-world security challenges.

Contact us

The mission of PSL is to protect people, places and organisations by applying research to security problems in areas such as physical security, maritime security and behavioural science.

PSL collaborates closely with government agencies, industry leaders and academic institutions to identify and understand security risks. The lab employs a range of methods and disciplines to devise practical solutions, drawing on expertise from physical, personnel and cyber security. This multidisciplinary approach enables PSL to quickly adapt to and address emerging threats effectively.

With strong connections and access to extensive research facilities, PSL operates independently, providing effective, research-driven solutions to contemporary security challenges, learning from past experiences and considering future possibilities.
