Graduation registration

Registration 

• Registration for the July 2025 graduation opens on 12 April 2025. Students who are eligible to graduate in July 2025 will be sent essential information relating to the ceremony directly to their student email account closer to the time. Please ensure you check your student email account regularly.
• In order to register, you need to book your tickets. Please note that each graduand is guaranteed two guest tickets, provided these are purchased by the registration deadline. This is to ensure that all graduands can bring the same number of guests to the ceremony and to make the process fair for everyone.
• Additional guest tickets may be released prior to the ceremony, dependent on guest numbers. Students will be alerted to this via email by 23 June 2025. Please do not contact us about extra tickets as we will not be able to provide any information prior to the alert email. If you have not received an email by (24 June 2025), then no extra tickets are available. 
• Graduating students' tickets are free of charge. Guest Tickets are £25 (inc. VAT) per ticket. You will be able to book your ticket and purchase your guest tickets on the Ede & Ravenscroft website.
• After the registration deadline, students that have purchased guest tickets but are no longer eligible to attend graduation, will receive a refund. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the Refund Policy.

• If you have any outstanding debt that has not cleared by Tuesday 17 June 2025, or you are blocked at any point after the registration deadline, but prior to the graduation ceremony, you will not be eligible to attend the July 2025 graduation. Once your debt has been cleared you will be eligible to attend a future graduation.

Registration for July 2025 Graduation closes on 12 May 2025.

Checking your details

• It is important that your correspondence address is up to date on SOLAR by no later than Tuesday 17 June 2025.Check your details on SOLAR Log in: CU SOLAR (coventry.ac.uk). You will collect your certificate on the day of your graduation if attending. Any certificates not collected on the day will be posted out, following the graduation events.

Deferring graduation ceremony

• You cannot choose which ceremony to attend. You will be automatically allocated to the ceremony closest to the date you have been officially awarded by your Progression and Award Board.
• You may only request to defer your ceremony if you have extenuating circumstances such as hospitalisation, or military deployment etc.
• Please provide formal third party evidence by emailing graduation.reg@coventry.ac.uk no later than 17 June 2025.

Guests

• If you or one of your allocated guests require a carer, please provide medical evidence to support this request by emailing: graduation.reg@coventry.ac.uk before Tuesday 17 June 2025.
• If any graduates have guests travelling from overseas, we would encourage them not to book flights until you have received official confirmation of your award. The Group will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by your guests.
• Should your guests require proof of travel, or an invitation letter, please contact engagement@coventry.ac.uk. Please do not contact the graduation team as we cannot assist with these letters.

Certificate

• If you been awarded after February 2025 your graduation certificate will be issued to you on the day of your graduation ceremony.
• For those that do not attend, certificates will be posted following the graduation event to the correspondence address.
• Certificates posted by Royal Mail to UK address – up to 3 weeks
• Certificates posted by Air-Mail to EU address – up to 6 weeks
• Certificates posted by DHL to Overseas address – up to 6 weeks
• Check that your correspondence address is up to date on SOLAR. Log in: CU SOLAR (coventry.ac.uk) before the deadline date 17 June 2025.
• If you have not receive your graduation certificate six weeks after the ceremonies have taken place, please contact graduation.reg@coventry.ac.uk.
• If your address is not updated by this date and your certificate is returned to us, you will be required to cover the postage costs for resending it. Please note that the University is not responsible for any certificates not received due to an incorrect correspondence address. In the event that the certificate is lost due to an incorrect address, you will need to order and pay for a replacement certificate and pay for the postage via the online shop.

Tickets 

Ticket Collection

• Tickets are available to collect on the day of your graduation ceremony from the ground floor of the George Eliot building,  opposite The Hub, (Travel Directions Information | Coventry University)
• Tickets desk will be open two hours before your graduation ceremony for graduates to collect.
• A graduate ticket will be issued to each student registered to attend their graduation ceremony. All students are guaranteed two guest tickets up to the 12 May 2025. If any additional tickets become available after this date, the Graduation team will inform you via email. Please do not contact us about extra tickets as we will not be able to provide any information prior to the alert email. If you have not received an email by 24th June 2025, then no extra tickets are available.
• Ticket desk will close 45 minutes before your graduation ceremony starts.If you don't collect your tickets on time, you will not be allowed to attend the ceremony, as your name will be removed from the order of proceedings

Extra Guests

• We strongly advise graduates not to bring guests without tickets to the graduation ceremony, as there is no guarantee that tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Please note, there will be no livestream available on-site, however, anyone can watch the ceremonies online via the Graduation website.
